Caring for All Animals....
Don't just wish it, will it.
Naming HSCC in your will represents a legacy of caring about the animals in your community for years to come. Your choice today means HSCC will be here, providing our lifesaving programs and services for the people and animals of Chittenden County for the next century and beyond.
You can make a gift to the Humane Society of Chittenden County in your will by designating a specific dollar amount, a percentage of the estate, or a percentage of the remaining part of the estate (residual) after other distributions are made. You can make this decision at any time. You may want to talk with your attorney or advisor to go over your plans. Here is some sample language to consider:
"I give, bequeath, and devise (dollar amount), to the Humane Society of Chittenden County, Inc., to be used for its general purposes."
- OR -
"I give bequeath, and devise (all or ___ percent of) the rest, residue and remainder of the property, both real and personal, wherever situated, which I may own or be entitled to at my death, to the Humane Society of Chittenden County, Inc., to be used for its general purposes."
Please call HSCC's Executive Director, at 862-0135 x105 with any questions about supporting HSCC through your will.
