In an effort to educate our community, encourage
organizational transparency, and in collaboration with Maddie’s Fund, the Humane
Society of Chittenden County has made a commitment to publishing annual intake
and adoption statistics.
Of course, the numbers only tell part of the story. HSCC is
proud of our efforts and of our successes at dramatically reducing euthanasia,
providing top-notch care to our residents, and partnering with local
organizations to improve the lives of animals and people throughout Vermont.
While those efforts are illustrated by the numbers in our annual intake and
adoption report, the true stories of what we do reside in homes and families
around our county and state, in the kennels and cages of our facility, in the
photos and cards we receive daily, and in the hearts and minds of our talented
and dedicated staff.
So please peruse our statistics, contact us with any
questions you might have, continue to support our efforts, take good care of
yourselves and your best friends!
